Education and Training Program Lead

Managing the SAAFE Education and Training Program, you will support the evolution and delivery of relevant training and development opportunities for the wider SAAFE community.

Reporting to the Research Director, the Education & Training Program Lead manages the SAAFE Education and Training Program, including the SAAFE Scholars Program and the development of industry practitioner-focussed educational opportunities. Supporting the development and delivery of relevant training and development opportunities for the wider SAAFE community, specific responsibilities include:

  • coordinating delivery of the SAAFE Scholars Program, ensuring timely completion, One Health literacy, and industry readiness;
  • developing and implementing training opportunities for SAAFE Scholars and partner participants in areas such as One Health AMR, communication, futurism, and transdisciplinary research;
  • leading student recruitment efforts and ensuring alignment with SAAFE priorities and member university processes;
  • managing calls for PhD proposals including application reviews;
  • coordinating and managing events, workshops, networking forums and industry presentations, and facilitate industry-linked placements and internships;
  • acting as key liaison for PhD candidates and supervisors and managing professional development budgets;
  • developing and reporting on program monitoring and evaluation metrics and managing the operations of the SAAFE Education & Training Advisory Committee.
