Julie Orr is a Director of SAAFE CRC and a financial services executive with extensive experience on ASX-listed, government, and non-listed boards. Having served as a member of our Audit, Finance & Risk Committee since our CRC’s inception, Julie is uniquely familiar with our team, vision and mission.

Julie brings solid financial foundations to our board. She’s spent more than 20 years in executive and board positions spanning the funds management, superannuation, stockbroking, research, biodiversity, sports, and environment, social and governance (ESG) sectors. This experience has given her a deep understanding of how to employ collaborative and coordinated approaches to complex issues.

Known for her strategic and commercial approach to leadership, at SAAFE Julie is focused on facilitating research outcomes via good governance and effective management to benefit our animals, our people and our environment.

Julie’s other notable board positions include, Director of Australian Ethical Investments (2018-present), Director of AvSuper Ltd (2021-present), and Audit & Risk Committee Member at the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (2021-present).
